Walk into any pharmacy or beauty store in India and you'll be recommended whatever product has the highest margin that day. Open any skincare YouTube video and you'll be recommended whatever brand paid for the sponsorship. Search Google and you'll find "Top 10 Face Washes" articles written by people who have never seen your skin.
We built GlowDekho because personalised skincare advice should be free, honest, and independent — especially in India, where most dermatologist appointments cost ₹500-2000 and most people are using the wrong products for their skin type.
The AI analyses your photos and answers to determine your actual skin type — oily, dry, combination, or sensitive — and then recommends products based purely on what dermatological science says works for that skin type. Not based on what a brand paid us to recommend.
How GlowDekho actually works
You upload up to 3 photos — front, left, and right — which our AI analyses to identify visible skin characteristics: oiliness, pore size, texture, pigmentation, redness, and more.
You then answer 12 questions covering your skin's daily behaviour, your lifestyle, your city's climate, and your concerns. Our scoring algorithm weighs all of this together to classify your skin type with high accuracy.
The result is a complete routine — products in the correct application order, exact instructions for each, natural Indian ingredient recipes, ingredient interaction warnings, and a realistic timeline for results.
We show 5 product options per category — from ₹60 to ₹3,000 — so you can choose based on your budget. Every recommendation is based on ingredient efficacy, not brand popularity or sponsorship.
Photos are analysed in real-time and immediately discarded. We never store, share, or use your images for any purpose beyond the immediate analysis.
No brand pays to appear in our recommendations. Products are selected purely based on dermatological science and ingredient efficacy.
The skin analysis, quiz, and complete routine will always be free. We earn through affiliate commissions when users purchase — at no extra cost to them.
We account for Indian climate zones, water quality, UV levels, dietary patterns, and include traditional Indian ingredients like multani mitti and besan that work.

How we make money
We believe in complete transparency about this. GlowDekho earns revenue in two ways:
Affiliate commissions: When you click a buy link and purchase a product on Amazon or Nykaa, we earn a small commission (typically 6-10%) from the platform. You pay the exact same price — the platform shares a portion of their margin with us for referring you. This is how almost every recommendation website operates globally.
Brand partnerships: Some brands pay to be included in our "Sponsored" sections — clearly labelled so you always know. These are separate from our main recommendations which remain fully independent.
Our business model only works if our recommendations are genuinely good — because if users buy products that don't work, they don't come back and we don't earn. Our interests are completely aligned with yours.
